Dr. Swathi Weaver is a Licensed Professional Counselor and board-approved supervisor. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Texas at San Antonio, her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and her B.A. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas. Swathi has extensive experience working in nonprofit organizations, inpatient psychiatric settings, and intensive outpatient counseling.
Much of her work has focused on serving clients in rural and underserved communities. She is especially passionate about crisis counseling and supporting individuals who have historically had limited access to mental health services. In addition to her clinical work, Swathi teaches future counselors and supervises LPC-Associates on their counselor journey. Her research interests include increasing access to mental health care through integrated behavioral health and mental health among Indian American women. Swathi has lived in Texas since childhood and currently resides in San Antonio with her husband and their two mini goldendoodles. Swathi is bilingual in English and Telugu. I Work With:
