Behind the Scenes:

When she’s not in the therapy room, you’ll probably find Mia outdoors—whether it’s hiking, running, lifting weights, or capturing candid moments behind her camera. A San Antonio native, Mia also loves attending music festivals, traveling, and getting creative with arts and crafts.

Hi! I'm Glad You're Here.

Mia earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA and holds a dual bachelor’s in Psychology and Kinesiology from Texas Lutheran University. Born and raised in San Antonio, she has a deep appreciation for community and understands how important it is to feel seen and supported—especially during life’s more difficult seasons.

Mia takes a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy. She incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, expressive art therapy, and attachment theory into her work. She also integrates the mind-body connection and utilizes somatic experiencing to support clients in reconnecting with themselves and processing trauma in a holistic way. Her goal is for clients to walk away from sessions feeling empowered and confident in their growth.

Clinical Specialties:

Making that first counseling appointment can feel overwhelming. Mia strives to create a space where clients of all ages feel genuinely comfortable, accepted, and understood. Sessions with Mia are often conversational, creative, and grounded in what’s most important to you. She believes healing happens in connection—with yourself, others, and the present moment.
She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her most-used modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, expressive art therapy, attachment theory, somatic techniques, and a person-centered lens.

  • Anxiety
  • Grief
  • Depression
  • Life Transitions
