You Are Not Alone.Edith is a student counselor obtaining her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. In addition to her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington, Edith also has a master’s degree in English as a Second Language and a Doctorate in Bilingual Education. She has prior experience working at a domestic violence shelter and counseling center in Tarrant County.
She has also served as a public school teacher along the United States and Mexico border and in San Antonio. Her work as an advocate and educator has led her to work with indigenous communities both in the United States and internationally. Part of her experience includes supporting culturally and linguistically diverse learning environments for multicultural settings. She is a fluent native Spanish speaker, and she has worked with children of all ages and adults. Edith is supervised by Aimee Rhodes, LPC-S As a future licensed counselor,
